Because there was no city water to KBS, we had to solve it by ourselves. We dug several wells by hands, 5m to 12m deep. But they also dried up on dry season. So decided to make big reservoir at the valley by digging deeper and wider of the valley. It was full of water in rainy season but dried up quickly when dry season began. The water-keeping project failed. But it also was dangerous to keep in that way on rainy season because it was deep. So we changed the usage into Stadium. We raised stone walls from the bottom one by one. It became 12 steps of stone walls. After daily study of bible, students helped this project by carrying stones and digging ground. It tooks more than 3 years because it was done by only human power. Now it is used for gospel rally, Christmas service, revival gathering, worship, meditation, even as swimming pool in rainy season. It looks so nice. Even it was failure as reservoir, but it is a success for many usages. Our lives are also same with this Ark Stadium. Even failed before, we can find new successful lives if we repent and come to the Lord.
It was held 7th Children and Youth Camp at KBS in Aug 10th to 13th, 2004. From 15 churches, from Pailin, Battambang, StungTreng, KohKong, SraeAmbal, Kratie, Kompongsom, 150 people gathered and had 4 days camp. Sisters from HongKong, sister Lim Sumi, Rev. & Mrs Choi and bible students helped the Camp. Rev. Tan EngBoo from Singapore taught bible students and pastors for a week. We had 70th birthday dinner of Dr. Chan SingChay at kbs. She taught at SNU for 30 years and retired, and came to KBS 20 times for last 7 years. She stayed a month on every visit and taught one book of New Testament on every visit. Mission team of Seoul Seo church made mission trip to KBS with 18 members. Brother Samnang and sister Shulamy married in June, 2004. Now graduate bible students are serving at many places, Nehemiah in KK, Amos in Bakrong KK, John Kim in StungTreng, Chay in Kratie, Stephan at Oknhaheng, Silas at Chengko, Issachar at Botsemoan, Joshua at Vealthom, Jesse at Smackdeng, Phannith in Pailin, and Sreymom at SraeAmbal. Sister Chorby and Sokret went to Korea for learning music for 3 months.
Sarang Light church (Church Everyday) visited us. Church Everyday became consistent supporter since 2003 until now, 2021. Rev Burdette, Ralph, Kevin of Family Altar made mission trip to KohKong; Bakkrong; Kompongsom, Pailin, Battambang, SraeAmbal, PhnomPenh Prison, with SeoMoon church (Pastor Kim SungMin). Mr. Kevin gave testimony to the prisoners how he came out of drug addiction. He was drug addicter for 22 years and delivered, and now study bible from morning to evening, became evangelist. They had Gospel rally every place, and had baptism at Moriah church in Battambang. Mr. Gilbert from USA taught English to KBS students for three months. Heavy vehicles came into KBS for making ground flat. Excavator and dump trucks came into kbs. The owner of vehicles wanted to offer sacrifices to his god by burning incense and offering food. But we explained to him here is bible school. So he did not offer the sacrifice. During the work, dump truck fell down two times when it carry the dust. But there was no damage to the truck and driver. The owner confessed that his vehicles were protected by Jesus God.
In September, 2004, brother Kosal, faithful co-worker of pastor Phannith at Pailin bp HanMaeum church, was killed and thrown into forest. So I went to Pailin and had farewell service with teachers and students of Ottvao school. In Dec 26th, 2004, there was inauguration service of Pailn bp church, donated by elder Jeon DaeWoo, and Dec. 26th same day Christmas service in Kompongsom was held at kbs, more than 3000 people gathered there. And we heard later a great Tsunami came to Indonesia on same day. We put the name of the Stadium into Ark Stadium due to coming of terrible Tsunami.

Firstly, I thank you for your prayer and love for this mission field. Here, I would like to share with you the Christmas Celebrations here in Kompongsom and other cities in Cambodia. This Christmas, Deacon Jeon Dae Woo's family from Seomoon church and Deacon Im Hun Gook came to Cambodia and attended and helped out in our Christmas ceremonies held in Kokong and Baikrong. They also helped in the inauguration of Hanmaeum church in Pailin.
먼저 이곳을 향한 기도와 사랑을 감사드립니다. 캄퐁솜 지역과 여러 도시에서 크리스마스 행사를 보고드립니다. 이번 크리스마스에는 서문교회의 전대우집사님 가족과 임헌국 집사님이 오셔서 꼬꽁과 빠끄롱 크리스마스 행사를 도우셨고, 빠일른 한마음교회 헌당식 때에도 도와 주셨습니다.
And the team from Hong Kong which comprised of 7 brothers and sisters from various churches in Hong Kong came here to help out in the Kompongsom Christmas celebration which was attended by other village churches near Kompongsom. They also helped in the Christmas celebrations in the prison where Sambath is ministering in Phnom Penh and also they traveled to Kratie and Stungtreng for Christmas celebration over there. The Hong Kong team comes to help our churches for Christmas Celebration annually.
그리고 예년처럼 홍콩에서 형제·자매 7 분이 여러 교회 연합으로 오셔서 캄퐁솜연합 크리스마스행사 및 프놈펜 교도소 크리스마스행사와 그라체 크리스마스, 스떵뜨렝 크리스마스 행사를 도와주셨습니다.
Our three sons, sister-in-law, the Bible students and many others, namely Rev. Choi Jae Hoon and his family, Missionary Bae Eun Young also helped out in full strength for this year's Christmas Celebration.
또한 저희 세 아들과 처제가 와서 같이 행사를 도왔고, 성경학교 학생들의 많은 수고와 같이 계시는 최재훈 목사님의 가족, 배은영 선교사님이 많은 수고를 하셨습니다.
On 23rd Dec, I traveled with Deacon Jeon and his entourage from Kokong to Baikrong via a speedboat. When we arrived at the pier, many little children were already waiting for us with their minister, brother Amos. At the Mission House, we celebrated Jesus' birth with many musica! instruments(saxophone, flute, guitar etc) which was brought from Korea. We singed Christmas songs and delivered a short and simple message to some 250 children. Deacon Jeon's wife, Deacon Park, who is a dentist, then treated around 20 children with bad teeth.
12 월 23 일, 꼬꽁을 통하여 입국하신 전집사님 일행과 배를 타고 빠끄롱에 가서 크리스마스행사를 시작했는데 많은 아이들이 벌써 부두에서 사역자인 아모스군과 함께 기다리고 있었습니다. 선교관에서 250 명의 아이들에게 가지고 오신 악기(색소폰, 플룻, 기타)로 크리스마스 찬송을 하고 간단한 메세지를 전하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 치과의사이신(전집사님의 부인) 박집사님이 아이들과 동네 사람들 20 명정도의 상한 치아를 뽑고 치료해주셨습니다.
In the afternoon, We went to Kokong Hanmaeum church to help in the Christmas celebrations there. Around 300-400 people attended and during the celebrations, Deacon Jeon expressed that it was because of his mother's last wish that he donated to build the Hanmaeum church in Kokong. We also had sessions for singing of Christmas hymns and Baptism.
오후에는 꼬꽁 한마음 교회에 가서 크리스마스 행사를 도왔습니다. 300~400 명이 참석하였고, 전집사님 어머님의 서원으로 꼬꽁 한마음 교회를 헌납하게 된 경위를 듣고 또 찬양의 시간과 세례식을 가졌습니다.
From Kokong we traveled to Phnom Penh via Kompongsom and then to Siem Riep, and from Siem Riep we went on to Battambang and finally to Pailin, where we held the inauguration of the Hanmaeum BP church in Pailin. Here in Pailin, some bad people had been trying to get rid of the church and also attempted to murder the church workers. Once, they attempted to detonate the church building by installing explosives inside the compounds of the church. By thankfully, we have now constructed a wall around the church building and also a new building.
꼬꽁에서 캄퐁솜을 거쳐 프놈펜에서 시엠리엡으로, 그곳에서 빠땀방을 거쳐 빠일른에서 12 월 26 일 빠일른 한마음 교회 헌당식을 가졌습니다. 이 곳 빠일른은 나쁜 사람들이 교회를 없애버리려고 사역자를 죽이려 하고, 폭탄을 장치하기도 하여 여러 어려움들이 많이 있었지만 마침내 교회 담도 만들고 건물도 건축하게 되었습니다.
On the 26th of Dec, some 10 villages on the outskirts of Kompongsom gathered in Kompongsom Bible School for Christmas Celebrations. And a surprising 3500 people attended this event. We had a Christmas song competition in which church members of each village competed in singing Christmas songs with other church members from other villages. We also had a Christmas concert, where the Kompongsom Bible School Choir did a good job. Also, 54 persons were baptized. We gave out lunch for all the participants, gave out Christmas presents and awards for the winners of the Christmas Song Competition and also the newly developed church calendar.
깜퐁솜에서는, 12 월 26 일 인근 마을 10 여개의 교회가 모여 연합 크리스마스 행사를 가졌습니다. 3500 명이 넘는 인원이 참석하였고, 교회별 찬송경연대회와 특별 콘서트, 54 명의 세례식을 가졌습니다. 모인 사람들에게 점심도 나눠주고, 선물과 찬송 경연대회 상품, 교회 달력도 주었습니다.
Then on the 27"", we went to the prison in Phnom Penh. 40 prisoners, police officers and other officials attended the Christmas Celebration which was literally held within the prison itself. I preached the sermon titled : “The great prison which is called world". We sang Christmas songs and gave out gifts for the prisoners. We also visited and shared the true meaning of Christmas to the prisoners of the other 3 cells which were isolated and thus the prisoners who were not allowed to attend the Christmas Celebration.
그 다음 27 일에는 프놈펜 감옥에서 40명의 수감 중인 사람들과 경찰, 간수장이 함께 모여 예배를 드렸습니다. “세상이라는 큰 감옥”의 제목으로 설교를 하고 찬양을 연주하고 선물도 나누어 주었습니다. 예배를 드리러 나오지 못한 다른 3 방의 사람들에게도 방문하여서 성탄절의 의미를 설명하고 성탄절의 주인되시는 예수님을 전하였습니다.
After the Christmas Celebration in Phnom Penh, the Hong Kong team went on to Kratie province and helped in the Christmas Celebrations on the 28th, 4 persons were baptized there. The next day, they traveled further up north to Stungtreng and there helped in the Celebrations there. They returned to Kompongsom on the 31st.
프놈펜 행사후, 홍콩팀과 그라체에 가서 28 일 크리스마스행사를 돕고 4 명의 형제자매에게 세례를 베풀었습니다. 다음날은 스떵뜨렝에가서 크리스마스 행사를 돕고 12월 31 일 다시 캄퐁솜으로 돌아왔습니다.
The 26th of Dec had great meaning to us. After working so for the preparations of all the Christmas Celebrations around whole year, we tasted great joy and satisfaction through God's grace and the hard work of our co-workers, the church members, and the churches themselves. It was a historical event for us that a church was established in downtown of Pailin, the stronghold of the former Khmer Rouge. And it was on this day that the horrible and catastrophic Tsunamis swept across many countries in Asia. .
12 월 26 일은 저희에게 특별한 의미가 있는 날이었습니다. 1년간 준비해왔던 캄퐁솜 크리스마스행사가 주님의 은혜의 동역자, 성도님들, 교회의 도움으로 잘 치루어졌고, 또한 크메르 루즈의 아성이었던 삐일른 시내에 교회가 지어져 헌당예배를 드린 날이었습니다. 그리고 바로 이날 쑤나미(Tsunami)가 아시아이 니라를 강하였다는 것을 알았습니다.
I thank God for the voices which praises the Lord even in this dark land in this particular season of Christmas, and also I pray that the Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu nations and those tourists who did not adhere to God's warning to return to the Lord, could hear the message from God. While September 11 was the wake-up call to His children, December 26 was the strong message to the unbelievers, the imminence of our Lord. I experienced the righteousness of God to everyone on earth through the things, happened on the day of December 26. May our Lord's peace and grace be with you even in this year 2005.
이곳 암흑의 땅에서도 주님을 찬양하는 소리가 방방곡곡에서 울려 퍼지게 됨을 인하여 감사드리고, 주님을 믿지 않는 불교국, 회교국, 힌두교국, 또 주님을 멀리한 관광객들도 주님의 경고의 메세지를 들을 수 있게 되기를 원합니다.
9.11 을 통해 믿는 자녀들을 깨우시고 이번 12.26 을 통하여서 이방교도들에게도 당신께 돌아오라는 메세지를 전하신 공의로우신 하나님을 경험하였습니다. 2005 년 새해에도 주님의 은혜와 평강이 늘 함께 하시기를 기도드립니다.

우리 주님의 이름으로 문안드립니다.
먼저 이곳을 향하신 기도와 헌신을 감사드립니다. 그간 있었던 일을 보고 드립니다.
먼저, 9월초 빠일른 교회의 꼬솔 선생님이 한적한 산길에서 괴한들에 의해 도끼로 머리를 상하고 숲속에 그 몸이 버려졌습니다. 괴한들과 몸 싸움을 벌였던 장소에서 시계와 신발 모자가 발견되었고 시신은 며칠 후 발견되었습니다. 꼬솔군은 작년 빠일른 교회가 심하게 위협을 당했을 때 파닛군과 같이 교회를 지키며 밤에도 와서 파닛군을 보호해 주었습니다. 꼬솔 식구들은 시신을 화장하였고 꼬솔약혼녀 집안에서도 모든 큰 슬픔과 놀라움이 가득했습니다.
9월 중순 빠일른에 올라가서 오따바우 초등학교에서 전교생과 선생님이 참석하여 꼬솔선생님을 기억하고 예배를 드렸습니다. 꼬솔 선생님은 경찰관이면서 오따바우초등학교 1학년을 담임하셨습니다.
파닛군이 2000년 빠일른에서 사역을 시작하였을때 부터 꼬솔씨는 성경을 배우고 신앙생활을 시작하였습니다. 주위 경관들로부터 성경공부에 가지말라고 여러번 말을 듣기도 하고 불이익을 당하였다고 합니다. 그래도 꼬솔씨는 변함없이 오따바우 인근 마을을 가가호호다니면 전도하고 어린이들에게 복음을 전했습니다.
또한, 꼬솔은 8월에 캄퐁솜 청소년 Camp 에도 참석하여 “주의 일을 새롭게 하소서 (Revive Thy Work O, Lord)”라는 주제의 여러 프로그램에서 은혜를 받았다고 합니다. 캠프를 마치고 빠일른으로 돌아가는 길에 프놈펜 인근의 고향마을에 들려 전도지 한 박스(320 권)를 모두 고향 사람들에게 나누어 주고 복음을 전했습니다.
이 전도지는 “천국가는 길”이란 소책자로 파닛 목사님의 부탁을 받고 빠일른에 가져가기로 되었던 것인데 중간에서 다 나누어주었습니다. 10 월에도 호주 아들레이드 Hope B.P 교회의 기억만 목사님이 특별히 꼬솔의 일을 위해 오셔서 빠일른을 방문하여 교회와 동역자들을 위로하고 빠일른 도지사들을 만나고, 빠일른 교회에서 주일 예배를 같이 드리고 내려왔습니다.
저희 성경학교에서도 꼬솔 선생님을 기념하여 꼬솔 기념 노천 집회장을 만들고 있습니다. 이 집회장은 이번 크리스마스 행사때 처음으로 사용될 예정입니다. 성경학교에는 속콤이 11 월에 졸업을 하고 4명의 학생들이 내년 2월경 졸업 예정입니다. 이들의 사역지와 사역후원을 위해서 기도해 주십시오.
오일팜 교회에서 사역하고 있는 보리와 스라이 빠우 부부는 내년 1월부터 나따나기리로 가서 사역할 예정이며, 빠일른 한마음 교회는 전대우 집사님의 도움으로 10월말 완공이 되었고, 예배처소와 아울러 유치원으로도 사용될 예정입니다. 빠일른에는 특별히 젊은 사람들이 배울수 있는 시설이 부족하고 환경이 열악해서 도움을 많이 필요로 하는 곳입니다. 허락이 되면은 컴퓨터 교실도 열려고 합니다.기도와 관심을 부탁드립니다.
빠땀방의 폴속하와 이남순 부부는 시내 한 중간에 모리아 교회를 세워 많은 젊은이들이 모이고 있으며, 꼬꽁의 느헤미야. 빠끄롱의 아모스, 크라체의 차이, 스떵뜨랭의 죤 킴도 잘 지내고 있습니다.
한국에 가 있는 쵸비와 쏘그렛은 한국말과 음악을 배우고 있습니다. 하정복 집사님의 도움으로 여러 가지 사역에 필요한 공부를 하게 되어 감사합니다. 이들이 돌아와서 이곳 사람들을 가르칠 수 있기를 원합니다. 같이 동역하는 최재훈 목사님 사모님 영찬이 모두 잘 지내며, 성경학교 일과 미션 하우스 일과 또한 가르치는 일에 동역하고 계시며, 단기사역을 온 임수미자매도 주일마다 각 마을 교회를 방문하여 주일학교를 가르치고 어린이들을 목욕시켜 줍니다.
금년 크리스마스에도 많은 사람들이 올것으로 예상되며,
점심과 선물 등 필요가 공급되고, 크리스마스 콘서트도 잘 진행되고 마을 교회 크리스마스 찬송경연대회도 은혜롭기를 위해 또한 좋은 날씨와 집회장 그늘을 만들수 있도록 기도해 주세요.
매일매일 선한 싸움을 잘 싸울수 있도록 특별히 기도해 주십시오. 주님의 선하심이 늘 함께 하시길 기도드립니다.

8 월 10일에서 13일까지 제7회 어린이 및 청년 CAMP 가 캄퐁솜 성경학교에서 열렸습니다.
REVIVE THY WORK, O ,LORD (주의 일을 새롭게 하소서)
라는 주제로 빠일론, 바탐방, 꼬꽁, 스떵뜨렝, 끄라제, 스라이엄벌 등 각도에서 온 교회와 캄퐁솜 인근의 교회들 모두 15 여 교회에서 150 명이 참석하여 3박 4일동안 여러 프로그램을 진행하였습니다. CAMP 를 위하여 홍콩에서 온 자매들과 임수미(서문교회) 자매, 그리고 동역하시는 최재훈목사님부부, 신학생들이 모두 도왔습니다.
또 홍콩팀이 빠일론을 방문하여 성경학교를 열었습니다.
그리고 8월 16 일부터 23일까지 홍콩의 청년들 8명이 와서 (City One 교회)
웨링에서 머물면서 스라이엄벌 교회, 오일팜 교회, 쩡 꼬교회, 비엘통교회, 옹야행 교회에서 어린이 청년사역을 하고 떠났고, 또 같은 기간 동안에 싱가폴 Grace-BP 교회에서 Rev.Tan Eng Boo 목사님과 전도사님들이 오셔서 성령론 강의와 마을 교회 전도사님들을 위한 세미나를 가졌습니다.
8월 24 일과 8월 30 일에 프놈펜이 계신 선교사님이 교인과 같이 내려오셔서 저희 신학교에서 어린이 및 청년 CAMP 를 가집니다. 이 기간동안 신학교는 방학을 하였습니다.
지난달 7월에는 Dr.Chan 칠순잔치를 성경학교 학생들과 같이 가졌습니다. Dr.Chan 께서는 싱가폴 국립대학(Singapore National University)에서 30 년 간 재임하시고 퇴임하셔서는 신학을 하시고 이곳 캄퐁솜에서 지난 7년간 20 회를 방문 하시고 매 방문때마다 한달씩 성경을 가르치셨습니다. 그리고 7월중에 호주 Perth 에서 목회하시는 Rev.Stone 씨와 사모님 , 교인들이 오셔서 창세기와 영어, 사모학을 강의하셨습니다. Rev.Stone 씨는 싱가폴에서 저희와 같이 공부했고 저희 가족과 가깝게 지냈습니다.
그리고 서울 서교회선교팀도 7월중에 방문하여 캄퐁솜과 꼬꽁에서 사역을 하였습니다. 서교회팀은 담임목사님과 부목사님 전도사님, 그리고 청년들 18명이 방문하였습니다.
6월에는 삼랑과 술람미의 결혼식이 있었습니다. 술람미는 싱가폴에서 1년간 공부하고 돌아왔습니다.
그리고 홍콩에서 온 자매들이 챠이군이 사역하는 끄라체와 죤킴이 사역하는 스떵뜨랭에서 한달동안 사역을 도왔습니다.
성경학교에는 올해 송아지가 2마리 태어났고 또 3마리 어미소를 사서 총 9마리가 되었습니다. 또 거위도 4마리 샀습니다. 거위를 산 이후로 산에 뱀이 잘 안보인다고 합니다. 금년에는 많은 비가 내렸습니다. 학교 진입로도 망가져서 3일간 학생들과 돌을 채워 넣고 길을 만들었습니다.
기도제목
1. 금년 크리스마스때 2500~3000 명의 사람들이 올것으로 예상되는데 앉을 좌석을 만들 수 있도록 (반원형 Amphitheatre)와 지붕을 덮을 수 있게 (작년에는 2300 명 왔음)
2. 마을 교회에 사역을 나간 신학교 졸업생들이 날마다. 말씀을 상고하고 말씀을 가르칠수 있도록 (느헤미야-꼬꽁교회, 아모스-빠끄롱교회, 보리-오일팜교회 , 존김-스펑뜨랭지역, 실라-쩡꼬교회, 스테판-옹야행교회, 비엘톰교회-여호수아,
제시-스마따잉교회, 빠일런-파닛, 끄라체-챠이, 보세몬-이사칼, 쓰라이엄벌-쓰라이몸)
3. 신학교건물 2 차 공사가 건기 때부터 시작될 수 있도록, 싱가폴파송교회로부터 허락이 나고 재정이 채워질 수 있도록
4. 한국에서 찬송가 녹음을 쵸비와 쏘크렛이 잘 하고 올 수 있도록 (3개월로 가는데 필요하면 더 비자 연장될 수 있도록)
5. 금년(혹은 내년 초) 졸업예정자의 사역지가 결정되고 사역비가 후원될 수 있도록 (속콤, 티모티, 다니엘, 킴, 모니)
주님께서 이 성경학교를 이끌어 가시고 사용하심을 감사드립니다. 여러 교회의 동역과 기도와 후원을 기쁘게 생각합니다. 주님의 크신 위로와 평강이 늘 함께 하시길…
