Era of KBS Day in Korea, 2018.

In January Dr. Chan came again and taught students for 3 weeks. Pastor Kim JaeHo came to Cambodia for Christian community development at Thmorbang. Dr. Morris taught kbs students. Ridem church visited Thmorbang, KohKong, SV, Kompot prison in which 30 inmates were baptized.

In February we had breakfast with kbs students, with some pastors at New Beach hotel restaurant on occasion of my 60th birthday. Now many Chinese are rushing into Cambodia, so rental fee jumped. So some missionaries could not get mission house in the city.

 

In March 19th to 23rd,  elder David Lim's team came and taught DLTP mudule 2 to bible students.

In April we brought Mr. Ung Molyvann to Korea. He delivered his testimony of his life in Khmer Rouge regime. Many of his family members were killed because his father was in charge of Royal Palace security. He took refuge in America, studied bible, became pastor, came back to Cambodia later, became advisor to prime minister.

In May Singapore medical team did mission at PhnomPenh prison, Kompot prison, KohKong prison. Pastor JH Kim took over GNB and raising organic chichen at KBS.

In June the couple of Lim Pin and Charlene taught teachers' training for KCS. They married in 1997, and from 1998 visited KBS every year and taught students, provided our needs. Mr. Limpin is a professor at SNU( Singapore National University), sister Charlene is a professor at Teachers' College.

Our family met together in Bangkok, eldest son from Korea, second one from Singapore, youngest from USA.

There was inauguration service of SraeAmbal church which was relocated from market area by offering of Seoil church. It has now modern building, big property next to big road.

In July some pastors from HabBo presbytery came for coming children & youth camp at kbs. Fellowship church from Denver, USA, did children camp at kbs for 3 days. Rev Kim JaeJoong resigned from this church and start mission work in Cambodia. Rev Hong SoonHo visited us, and visited Myanmar, carried Gospel tracts in Burmese, in Shan which we printed.
On July 24th was inauguration service of sanctuary at Ratanakiri Kachan Praising church. Old building was demolished,  rebuilt by the offering of GaeRim church in KwangJu. Some youths of SoMyong church came, trained KBS students for coming Camp in August.

In August SeoDaegu church visited Kompongcham and SV. Sae Eden church did mission at Thmorbang, jungle area. Chinese missionaries in PP had camp with their local members at kbs. August 28 to 31 was children camp at KBS with 250 campers, youths from SoMyong church and kbs students helped it.

In October Grace and myself visited Korea. I got eye treatment by laser in Mokpo. My eyeballs were some damaged due to much dust in Sihanoukville. On 9th October had KBS Day at SoMyong church, some pastors, brothers and sisters who stayed in Cambodia, gathered together, had worship, lunch together.
Rev Lee SangBeum and kbs gave baptism and Holy Communion at CC3.

In November 20 to 22 was 11th Revival Camp at kbs with mission team of KwangJu, Mokpo, HaeNam, after the Camp they visited CC3, had baptism and holy communion. Life bp church visited Ratanakiri and had mission at Le village church with missionary Puimeng who are staying there with tribal people.

December 23rd was KCS Christmas.

Moved from market place to mountain side and had dedication service of SraeAmbal church on 27th June. Old church building was supported by Rev Burdette Price & brother Kevin Florida USA and new one by Seo il church of Korea. God bless Cambodia.

Saying history of Sraeumbal church from 2001 until now. It is beautiful to see the growth of SraeAmbal church in Christ in the union of foreign churches with leadership of pastor Sok.

우리 주님의 이름으로 문안드립니다.

주님의 선하심과 인자하심을 찬양합니다. 지난 5월부터의 사역을 보고드립니다.

항상 사역에 동참하여 주심을 감사드립니다.

 

5월말에는 싱가폴 의료팀이 프놈펜과 꼬꽁, 캄폿 교도소에서 의료진료를 하였고 KBS 신학생들이 가서 통역과 봉사를 하였습니다. 또 자립 선교의 Model을 받기 위해서 김재호 목사님이 캄퐁솜에 오셨습니다. 그동안 저희 GNB에서 하던 유정란 닭을 인수받으셔서 더욱 체계적으로 자립 선교기반을 만드는 일을 하십니다.

 

6월초에는 싱가폴의 Limpin 과 Charlene 부부가 와서 KBS에서 교사 교육을 하였습니다. 앞으로 Christian School을 만들기 위해 영어로 교육하는 Program과 교과 과목을 가르쳤습니다. 이 부부는 1997년 결혼 후 지금까지 매년 KBS에 와서 사역을 도와주고 있습니다. 저희에게 큰 힘이 되고 있습니다. 남편은 Singapore National Univ. 에서 법대 교수이고, 아내는 사범 대학 교수입니다. 이 부부가 KBS에서 가르치는 동안 저희는 방콕에서 가족모임을 가졌습니다. 큰 애는 한국에서 ,막내는 미국에서, 둘째는 지금 방콕에서 회사에 다니고 있어 몇 일간 같이 지냈습니다.

6월말에는 스라에엄벌 교회 헌당식이 있었습니다. 이전 시장 부근에 있던 예배당을 매각하고 새로운 곳에 부지를 매입하여 서일교회의 헌금으로 넓은 땅에 교회를 지었습니다.

 

7월 초에는 합보 교단의 목사님 여러분이 오셔서 사역지를 둘러 보았고, 8월에 어린이 Camp를 할 수 있도록 헌금하셨습니다. 또 싱가폴에서 교사들이 와서 KBS에서 가르쳤고 송탄 제일교회의 홍순호 목사님도 잠깐 방문하셨고 미얀마에 전도지를 들고 탐색을 다녀오셨습니다.

7월 24일 라따나끼리 까챤교회 예배당 헌당식이 있었습니다 구 목조건물을 철거하고 새로운 예배당을 짓고 헌금하신 광주 계림교회에서 오셔서 예배를 같이 드렸고,

7월말에는 소명교회 청년들이 와서 신학생들의 8월 어린이 Camp를 위한 훈련을 도왔습니다.

 

8월에는 서대구 교회에서 캄뽕쨤 (끄렉교회, 플롱교회)을 거쳐 캄퐁솜 KBS에 방문해 잠깐 시간을 가졌고 새에덴 교회 청년들이 예년과 같이 와서 트모방 정글 지역에서 숙식하면서 전도 집회와 전도를 다녔습니다. 또 프놈펜 중국인 선교사들 연합으로 Cambodia 청년들과 KBS 에서 Camp를 가졌고, 

8월 23~31일까지 어린이 Camp(250여명)을 소명교회와 진행하고 있습니다.
